Butterfly project

I've completed 2 butterflies for our group project. I didn't have any wire for the wings so I coated the back of my butterflies with PVA so that they can be moulded into place. The blue one is was painted cotton and hand stitched with stranded cottons. The body is felted wool tops and the antenna are cotton perle with a knot on the end and stiffened with PVA.  The lilac one was made by bondawebbing fabric to felt and then hand stitching the veins.

Looking forward to some more butterflies winging their way to me so I can upload them to the blog.
