In December we had a fantastic Christmas lunch at Ascot House.

As usual there was a Christmas challenge. This year the challenge was to make a scissor case. All the entries were fabulous and it was very difficult to choose a winner. However the winner was (drumroll) Carole Pritchard with a beautifully embroidered case.
There was also a tombola. Everyone brought a wrapped bottle which were
numbered. Then everyone was given a number and claimed that bottle.
A really enjoyable afternoon.
In January Wyn Ingham will be talking to us about Casalguidi and lace from the5th century to present day.
