Regional Day

Several branch members attended the Regional day at Riccall. We had 2 excellent speakers.
Serena Partridge's work has to be seen to appreciate the intricacy of the tiny scale of her work.

In the afternoon, Nicola Jarvis talked to us about her work inspired by May Morris (the lesser known daughter of William Morris) Trained at the Royal School of Needlework, Nicola is well known for her kits inspired by William and May Morris. She has also worked in the fashion industry (she helped to create the lace for the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress)

As well as the speakers, there were trade stalls and lots of competition entries to see:-
