Yesterday, a
lovely young lady, Sarah Ruaux, came to talk to us about her passion for shoes.
When she
first expressed an interest in shoe design her granddad, a clog maker, taught
her how to make her own shoes. He believed that if you are going to design
something you should understand how it is made. So at the young age of 9ish,
Sarah, with help from granddad, made her first pair of shoes.
She has
since made several more and also brought other stitched work she had done,
including a piece of stitched slate!
