Liz Ward, a trained art teacher, entertained us with her tales
of her life living in Kenya, Nepal and Oman. She brought many samples of her
work. She loves gardening and this is often apparent in her work. Using
whatever fabrics were available to her at the time, including cutting up
curtains and sheets, she created large appliquéd pieces. It just goes to show that no matter where you are and with limited resources you can always find a way to release you inner creativity.
