Our September speaker was Kathleen Laurel Sage. She works
with sheer fabrics to create raised and dimensional embroideries, structures
and fashion accessories.
Kathleen started her adventure into textiles with patchwork
but over many years has developed an interest in many other areas such as stump work
and gold work.
She is well known for her cut work with organza and stitching
onto plastic and brought along lots of samples for us to see as well as a
wonderful slide show of her work. Her love of flowers is obvious from her work.
What a wonderful, friendly, entertaining and informative
talk.
To see more of her work and find out more about Kathleen
